Privacy Policy
Summon Jet ("Summon Jet", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through summonjet.com (the "Site"), which lists publicly posted empty leg flights, and when you contact us, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. Summon Jet does not sell or arrange flights and does not take bookings or payments; those happen directly between you and the broker or operator who posted a flight. Please read it carefully. By using the Site or providing information to us, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
The Site has no account sign-up, booking form, or payment step. The only information we collect directly from you is what you choose to send when you email us or otherwise contact us, for example:
- Contact details such as your name and email address, and your phone number if you include it.
- The content of your message, for example a question about the Site or a note that a listing has sold or moved.
Please do not send us passenger details, travel documents, or payment information. We do not need them, and any booking is made directly with the broker or operator who posted the flight.
Information collected automatically
The Site does not set cookies of its own and does not run analytics or advertising trackers. The filters you type into the flight board run in your browser and are not sent to us. When you visit, however, the servers that host the Site may automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to keep the Site running securely and to understand how it is used in aggregate.
Information from others
We do not receive information about you from the brokers or operators whose listings appear on the Site. What you share with them when you open a listing or make a booking is governed by their own privacy policies.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your messages and questions.
- Correct or remove listings you tell us about.
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
- Protect our rights, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with the law.
We will not send you marketing email unless you have asked to receive it. Every marketing message we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
5. How long we keep information
We keep messages you send us for as long as needed to answer them and for a reasonable period afterward, and we keep records we are required to hold by law or need to resolve a dispute. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Where practical, we delete or anonymize information sooner if you ask us to.
6. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include limiting access to people who need it to do their jobs and using service providers with their own security commitments. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
7. Your choices
- Providing information. You can browse the Site without giving us any information at all. We only receive what you choose to send us.
- Marketing. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting us.
- Accuracy. You can ask us to correct or update your information at any time.
- Browser settings. You can control cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings. Because the Site does not set cookies, these settings mainly affect third-party resources such as fonts.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Restrict or object to certain uses of your information.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where our use of your information is based on consent.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
- Complain to a data protection authority or privacy regulator.
California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives California residents the rights listed above with respect to personal information. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no need to opt out of those activities. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. We process your personal information where we have a legitimate interest such as operating and securing the Site and responding to your messages, where we need to comply with a legal obligation, or with your consent.
How to exercise your rights. Contact us using the details in section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without a parent's or guardian's consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
Summon Jet is based in the United States, and personal information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and in any other country where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
11. Links to other sites
The Site links to the websites of the charter brokers and operators whose flights are listed, and may link to social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Booking an empty leg means dealing directly with the broker or operator, so review their privacy policy before sharing passenger or payment details with them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use personal information we have already collected, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by posting a notice on the Site or emailing you. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
13. How to contact us
